EOD Technician Instructor (National Capital Region)(TS/SCI)
 
Required Experience:
-Former EOD technician
 
Required Skills
-Able to perform duties in all weather and climate conditions and be capable of carrying loads of up to 80 pounds over uneven terrain
-Willing and able to accept worldwide deployments which include elements presenting reasonable risks to personal safety
-Able to meet medical requirements to wear a protective mask
-Able to submit to immunization for worldwide travel
-Able to travel on short notice, work non-standard hours and take on-call duty
-Possess personal mobility, including ability to use Jacobs ladders, step ladders ropes and perform climbing skills
-Capable of flying in utility helicopters for extended periods of time; and/or be available for expeditious foreign travel for extended periods of time
-Physically and mentally qualified for deployment and performance of duties to include tactical operations in austere, hostile environments and able to maintain Army Physical Fitness Test score of 270 or above for each individual’s specific age group
-Capable of completing the in-house TSG training within 3 months of hire
-The training includes tasks associated with R/N search operations, communications, mobility, surveillance, and force protection
-Possess an Official Passport
-Able to qualify with the M9 pistol and M4 rifle
-Able to successfully complete annual Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) training, to include use and wear of assigned NBC Protective equipment
-Able to execute worldwide travel in support of training, exercises, and operational support missions

The O'Gara Group TSD is seeking qualified personnel to fill the below listed positions;
 
COMEODGRU ONE TRAINING AND READINESS SUPPORT (SAN DIEGO,CA)
 
Responsibilities include:
    -    Develop Mission Essential Task Lists for Task Force (TF) and Squadron (EOD Mobile Units) level exercises.
    -    Manage schedule of events for TF-Squadron training and exercises. Manage and coordinate short and long range training schedules.
    -    Manage COMEODGRU ONE/TWO Executive Steering Committee, Commander’s Readiness Conference and Readiness Working Group administrative tasks (manage agendas, distribute minutes, track action items and coordinate conference logistics).
    -    Provide material solution recommendations to EOD Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP).
    -    Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
    -    Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
 
Education/Qualification:
    -    Minimum four years experience in the oversight of military operations and plans required to train, equip and deploy combat forces up to Battalion in size.
    -    Minimum two years experience in Project/Program Management of government contracted workforce.
 
EOD INSTRUCTORS   (SAN DIEGO, CA)
 
Instruction activities will include:
    -    Classroom and field operational level instruction of EOD response TTP’s in multi-threat environments.
    -    Curriculum development and maintenance.
    -    EOD tool and equipment operation and maintenance.
    -    Demolition operations.
 
General Education/Qualification requirements:
    -    Graduate of NAVSCOLEOD (CIN: A-431-001 or A-431-0012 or A-431-0014/A-431-0114)
    -    Minimum of 6 years experience as an EOD Technician.
    -    Master Training Specialist or equivalent. Will consider minimum two years instructional experience in the areas required by this course, in lieu of designation.
    -    Current qualification as a Demolition Operations Supervisor.
    -    Possess valid CPR certification.
 
Mission area specific requirements:
 
IED/SURFACE INSTRUCTOR (SAN DIEGO,CA)
    -    Graduate of Tactical Electronics Advanced EOD Operator course of instruction or equivalent course.
    -    Current proficiency training of electronic IED application and component identification.
 
CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL (WMD) INSTRUCTOR (SAN DIEGO,CA)
    -    Current certificate of completion in the Dugway Proving Grounds Chemical/Biological course.
    -    Current, within the past 12-months, certificate of completion for the USAMRIID and the USAMRICD Medical Management of Chemical and Biological Casualties courses.
    -    Current, within the past 12-months, certificate of completion for Home Made Explosives “HME” production COI.
 
NUCLEAR (WMD) INSTRUCTOR (SAN DIEGO, CA)
    -    CNWDI eligible.
 
UNDERWATER (MINE CM / UW ATTACK CHARGES) INSTRUCTOR (SAN DIEGO,CA)
 
    -    Mine counter measure experience involving 5 phases of MCM (plan, locate, neutralize, recover, exploit).  Knowledge at the Senior EOD technician level of how each phase is conducted and able to instruct and facilitate as a subject matter expert.
    -    2 years minimum operational experience with: US NAVY SCUBA, US NAVY MK-16, UIS, 2A.
    -    1 year minimum operational experience with: RCC, COIN, PMAP, Mission Planner, Lift Balloon, Mine Beaching Procedures.

The Joint Multinational Readiness Center at Hohenfels Germany has a job opening for a EOD type individual. We are JIEDDO funded and standing up a team with the responsibility of training US and multinational forces bound for Afghanistan.  The position is responsible for building trigger systems that replicate what is currently in use, teaching IED awareness classes, and running STX lanes for units. The job will involve travel to other European based countries-@ one week out of every 6 or 7.  This is considered a Technical Expert position by the German government so you will have logistical support on post and not pay German taxes. Additionally Ex Pats working in Germany can exempt the first $91K of income from US taxes.  We are looking for a two year commitment.
