Year-Round Support for Our Deployed EOD Units
(Updated thanks to the USAFCENT/A7XE Staff and Mr. Jeff Schley, CMSgt., USAF (Ret.), HQ AF/A7CXR)
(Addresses remain current through approximately June 2012)
Before Christmas (2006) we became aware that our deployed EOD troops were in need of items to improve their quality of life. Goods that we took for granted in past conflicts are difficult to obtain over there. Everything is flown in or trekked in over hundreds of miles of dangerous roads. EODMBI (and many of our individual members) sent packages off and received wholehearted thanks from all.
Christmas is over, but the EOD teams are still deployed. If you'd like to send more packages to help make life a bit more comfortable for AF EOD warriors, here's an updated USAFCENT address listing with unit representatives, who will distribute your donated items:

Short list of items previously requested:
Coffee and coffee mugs/cups (plastic ones with lids) (microwaveable), snacks (e.g., beef jerky, tuna packs, nuts, etc.), PS2/XBOX games, hand held poker/electronic games, books, cookies, candy, and so on.
Our experience has been that most local post offices have a two of different size "flat rate boxes" that they will give you (you pay for the boxes themselves if you order them online), and you fill them with as much as possible! One of the box sizes is 11-7/8" x 3-3/8" x 13-5/8" and costs less than $9 to mail, regardless of it's weight.
Let our AF EOD troops know we support them year-round. The small things in life are often the most important.
